Accomodation
In Lausanne, you can choose between accomodation in host families, organised by Eurocentres, or an indivudal stay on you own.
Homestay
Living living with a host family is the best way to improve your French. Eurocentres host families are selected by our Accomodation Officer and are regurlarly inspected to ensure they meet our quality standards. All our families are 10 to 40 min away from school and Lausanne has a very good public transport system.
If you have special requests concerning food allergies, medical treatment or religious diet, please tell us.
In the center of Lausanne, rooms are generally small, but comfortable; in the suburbs they are more spacious, and tend to be families with children (about 30-40 minutes with public transport system).
Some families will be hosts to several students at the same time. This create a great multinational atmosphere. Some accomodation (suburbs only) can provide a private bathroom if required.
Key information
- You have your own bedroom and normally a desk for studying in your room
- You share the rest of the house with the family
- Your host family provides breakfast and dinner (halfboard arrangements), week-ends included.
- Laundry is not included
- Use of the kitchen is not included
Individual Stay
You can find updated lists of hotels, B&Bs, studios and flats on the website www.lausanne-tourisme.ch, to organise your accomodation yourself . Be careful, it's hard to find a cheap accomodation in Lausanne so give yourself plenty of time to do this. Be sure that you have a bed before your arrival !
